The kilns of Jingdezhen have never gone cold.
For over a thousand years, in a small city in Jiangxi, China — the porcelain capital of the world — generations of artisans have shaped clay, water, and fire into objects of quiet perfection. Imperial courts once waited months for a single firing. The patience remains. The fire remains.
Kiln & Ember was born from a simple belief: the ritual of a fine cigar deserves vessels worthy of it.
We work directly with master artisans in Jingdezhen. Every piece is thrown by hand, glazed in small batches, and fired at 1300°C. In the ancient alchemy of flame and mineral — what the Chinese call kiln transformation — no two pieces ever emerge alike. Each one carries the signature of the hands that made it.
A cigar is never hurried. Neither is our porcelain.
